Brandon, age 28 – “In January of this year I decided that I needed to loose some weight. I set a goal for myself and realized the uphill Brandonbattle I had to reach that goal. I started looking into diets and training programs to help loose the extra pounds and realized that I needed something that was fast paced, different, and would push me to my limits each day. I wanted a work out program like I had as a football player in college during hell week. I needed a program that would not just work on strength conditioning, but a program that would work on plyometrics, cardio and offer me a support group. The simple answer BOOT CAMP!! Boot camp is a full athletic training program. In one 6-week session I was pushed to my limit through a variety of exercises. From Cardio to strength training no one class is the same and I have found this change in my life’s routine equals a change in my health. During the fist 6-week session I lost a total of 22 lbs. I experienced increase energy at work, increase in energy at home, and was given ways to relieve everyday stress. I found myself wanting to eat better and looking forward to waking up early to work out. Boot camp gave me a support group that is helping me along the way to reach my goals. All that I have to do is finish!! I would definately take boot camp again. The trainers are great, my fellow campers are awesome, and the change that I have experienced in my own health is priceless. Jonathan, Age: 36 – “I have been working out off and on for years-typically through my membership through an indoor gym environment. Last year my daughter was born, and after her birth I was having trouble with Jonathan maintaining my usual workout schedule. My former habit pre-baby became impossible. I also know myself and that I typically lack self-motivation early in the morning to rise and work out on my own before work. When I heard from a co-worker about the Vegas Valley Boot Camp morning class offered through the City of Henderson, I suspected it would be just the ticket to motivate me for morning workouts. Once I began attending the first session, I was very impressed by the class-there is no “boredom” involved – every day is a new, unique workout challenge, and this exceeded my expectations regarding what the class would be. The instructor was very knowledgeable, and the fellow class members were motivational to say the least. I lost fifteen pounds during the first six-week session, and I’m now losing additional weight during a second session. My energy level has increased dramatically and I’d judge my overall level of fitness to be better than it’s been in the last 5 years – I’ve noticed that hikes that would have challenged me before are now a breeze, and mountain biking has never been more fun. The true test has been my level of stress – my workplace has recently gone through some reduction in force events, which tend to be stressful for everyone involved. This course has definitely helped in managing my personal level of stress during this trying time. My hat is off to Vegas Valley Boot Camp – I am looking forward to signing up for a third six-week session.”

Megan, Age: 32 – “Vegas Valley Boot Camp has given me something that I’ve not yet been able to achieve on my own – results! Being an overweight person, I honestly didn’t think I’d be able to do much Meganwhen I signed up for this boot camp class. In the beginning I could hardly do three push-ups, I was completely winded after jogging for 30 seconds, and I had trouble doing most of the other exercises. However, I always pushed myself and did the best I could at the time. Now, I can jog at least 5 minutes, do 15 push-ups, and can pretty much keep up with everyone else. Believe me, that’s a HUGE accomplishment for myself! My results have been amazing! I’ve lost 10 lbs., a dress size, and an inch off my chest, and over an inch in my hips. Seeing these results has motivated me even more. I’m not going to give up! This class has boosted my self-esteem, confidence, and energy. Each boot camp class is different, which is what I love so much about it. I was getting so tired of the repetitive exercise routine I was so accustomed to. That left me bored and eventually led me to just give up. At Vegas Valley Boot Camp it’s the total opposite. I’ve already re-enlisted and started the second session and will also sign up for the third. My journey with VVBC has just begun. I have much more work to accomplish!”
